Care of your flower vessel:

  Upon removing the flower, drain the water.  Clean the vessel out by placing in sink, add a teaspoon of lemon juice, vinegar or liquid laundry bleach (clorox), fill with water, slosh around and drain.  This kills bacteria that can smell bad and will shorten the life of your next flower. 

  Use powdered flower food packet available at florist,  your flowers will last longer. Keep a flower in it, you will feel better.
